Delete your Carbon account

This page is for users of the "Carbon Students" and "Carbon" apps and the carbon.af website. You can permanently delete your account at any time. Deletion cannot be undone.

Three ways to delete your account

In the app

1Open the app and sign in.
2Go to "My account" and tap "Delete account".
3Type your account email to confirm, then confirm the deletion.

On the website

1Sign in at carbon.af.
2Open your "Profile" page; the account deletion section is at the bottom.
3Type your account email and confirm the deletion.

By email (if you cannot sign in)

From the email address your account was created with, send an email to our support address saying you want your account deleted. We reply to confirm the request came from you and delete the account within 7 working days.

Send a deletion request

What is deleted

Your name, email, phone number, profile photo and short bio
Guardian name and phone (if recorded)
Your private messages with teachers and centers
Your photo on certificates (if you added one)
Your sign-in account (you can no longer sign in with that email and password) and all open sessions on your devices

What is kept — without your name

Payment records (amount and date), because the training center’s accounting depends on them.
Grades, attendance, homework and lesson questions stay in the training center’s records, but your name is replaced with "Deleted account".
Serial numbers of certificates already issued, so their validity can still be verified.
Sign-in history (IP address and device type) for up to 24 months, only for security incident review; it is then deleted automatically.

Notes

If you are the only head of a training center, another head must be assigned to that center first.
Before deleting, you can download a full copy of your data from your profile page on the website.
Files you downloaded to your phone for offline study are removed when you uninstall the app.
